Dust to Dust, Ashes….

Artful Ashes, Seattle WA

I have been to many celebrations of life, including the funerals of both of my parents, where I delivered poetic tributes with musical accompaniment…I was honored to contribute and while a bit non-traditional, both were well received by all; Dad & Mom as well as my Great Uncle Henry.

All three were open-casket funerals, per their requests. In the process of preparations for both, we researched cremations. Today I discovered a Seattle company, Artful Ashes, who make permanent tributes using a tablespoon of ashes….WOW

…I delivered my first eulogy in my senior year of high school, where I first publicly shared my philosophy….

We are so stupid that sadly, we don’t claim “transpritual” connections until someone physically leaves this earth…for example you can hear your grandmother’s reprimanding voice (to this day) when you “cross a line.” It’s like them having a little corner for you to visit and consult with, as your mind automatically estimates their response to your questions or actions in their voice…ala a spirit-speak virtual consultant! With this in mind, we subconsciously create these types of “corners” for everyone we have engaged in any substantive conversation…While I think we have the ability to call on these “corners” for advice at will…so why do when have to wait until a loved one transitions, before we acknowledge this great resource? Thus we can reframe our relationships so that we are with each other 24/7, on-demand at will….

I call upon my ancestors and dearly departed soul-mates daily and find these glass creations, from beloved ashes, a refreshing reminder of spirits gone by.

OuiOui?
